Episode 006 – My trek to Dzükou Valley & a teaser of Northeast India
Dzükou Valley is a picturesque region that graces the borders between Nagaland and Manipur in Northeast India. Here’s my trekking experience across this pristine landscape featuring rainforests, streams, caves, and misty rolling hills covered in dwarf bamboo and seasonal wild flowers. I got to see the indigenous Dzükou Lily too.
In this episode, I also share my travel anecdotes including a week-long initiation into Bhut Jolokia during my friend’s wedding celebration, walking around Kohima sporting my beard, making new friends, boating across Loktak Lake, stepping on floating islands, and stalking Sangai deer!
