Stephen Traina-Dorge is a social documentarian, and the founder of Face of Indawgyi. Between skateboarding sessions and his interest in musical instruments, chat with him about the history of jazz or the mystery of Thanaka!

Listen to his journey from growing up in New Orleans and graduating in sociology to documenting cultural heritage in Myanmar and creating a social impact organisation at Indawgyi Lake, in the far north of Myanmar. Expect to find him empowering more local communities in the country.

Face of Indawgyi is a community-focussed social enterprise set up in the remote hinterland of Kachin state in northern Myanmar. It’s working towards bringing about significant change within the myriad communities in and around Indawgyi Lake – the largest freshwater lake in Myanmar and an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
